Lopez Community Fireworks, Inc. has helped mold the 4th of July on Lopez into the fabulous celebration that it has now become. The day begins with a parade along-side Fisherman's Bay beginning at ISLA Glass Studio (formerly the Creamery) parking lot on Fisherman Bay Road and ending in Lopez Village at the Post Office. It's all tipped off by the Fireworks Show which is shot from the spit and can be viewed from water and land from Fisherman's Bay. If you've enjoyed this day on Lopez in years past, you know how special it is. If you haven't come join us for a day you will most likely never forget...

The Lopez Island 4th of July Parade is a long- standing tradition. Any organization or individual may participate. Entries can be elaborate (for Lopez) floats or simple costumes and posters. Visitors come from all over to view this unique small town event. The parade is sponsored by the Lopez Lion's Club. Parade signup is the day of the parade, at 9am at ISLA Glass Studio parking lot. The parade starts at 11:00 and follows Fisherman Bay Road to Lopez Road, into the village past the business center, and ends at the Post Office. The judging will be at the old Lopez Village Market parking lot. Prizes will be awarded at the Lopez Community Center following the parade.

The day would not be complete without Fireworks, and Lopez is well known in the Northwest for its outstanding fireworks display. The Fireworks Crew's Volunteers include a number of local residents with pyrotechnical licenses who carefully select and even make some of the unique displays. The annual fireworks display is supported by donations and the sale of T-shirts and sweatshirts available at local businesses and now here securely online.
